WETLANDS (premiered summer 2022 at ZHDK) is an inquiry into questions of sex, sexuality and desire as well as the relationship of intimacy and societal structures. In between concrete everyday experiences and fiction, through reenactment, exaggeration, inversion, re-contextualization a space for a utopian place of possibility is created. The performers invite to question assumptions about modalities of togetherness in the context of love and friendship, and re-imagine. Moving in between spaces of pleasure and displeasure, romantic narratives, memories and fantasies. Between intimacy and public spheres questions surrounding agency rupture - also in relation to the performance situation.
