collaborative sonic explorations/long duration improv/listening settings

sonic sundays

with: nicolas buzzi, franziska koch, li tavor, otis thomet, martina buzzi, dani keller, tracy september, sianur, kashev tapes, circumstances and many others.

a collectively playable setting is created from various instruments, electronic sound generators and microphones. The different stations can be played by all the group members.
Loosely based on Pauline Oliveros' Sonic Meditation Scores of 1974, part of the settings are group-assembled instructions that are used during the joint performance and change organically. The main focus of the sessions are questions of common listening, negotiations of power relations/difference in a common space through sound, collective decision-making processes and the potential of sound as another form of communication.
