Otis Thomet (b. 1993 in Switzerland) is a musician and sound artist based in Zurich.
Following threads of uncertainty within the fabric of sound, space and the subject, they aim to interrogate ideas of how listening can inform compositional practices beyond the individual. Otis Thomet always understands their work as collaborative, either through working with other artists, or, more likely, engaging with abundant sonic spheres of interdependent systems of potentiality their modular synth has to offer. Plurality and composition as study of relationalities help to open up space where entanglements, absent or present ones, are made apparent through audification. Thus listening can also inform a central pathway to affirmative collective action and to the embracing of fragility and instability.
